Eugene Kwame Marfo, popularly known as Kuami Eugene, is a Ghanaian highlife and afrobeat singer. He is signed to the Lynx Entertainment record label and noted for producing several songs. Some include: “Wish Me Well”, “Abodie”, “Open Gate” and many more.
He won the New Artist awards from the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and the Ghana Music Awards UK. He was also named the Most Promising Artiste in Africa from (AFRIMA).
Kuami Eugene Biography
Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene was born in Oda, Ghana to Alex and Juliana Marfo. His passion and interest in music led him to sing for the church at his young age. He managed to learn how to play the church’s drum, guitar and keyboard. Kuami Eugene dropped out from school due to his love and passion for music. He spent more than two month studying music in a studio located in the Eastern Region. The “Angela” hitzmaker never informed his school authorities and his mother about it.
He attended Salvation Army Senior High school located at Akim- Wenchi but was later dismissed from school after it was discovered that he usually skips class. The Ghanaian rockstar grew up in the environs of Fadama , a suburb of Accra and furthered his education at Ghana Telecom University.

Kwami Eugene was a contestant in MTN Hitmaker Season 5 Competition in Ghana in 2016. He came in third place overall. He got signed to Lynx Entertainment shortly after the competition and released many singles.
In 2017, his song “Angela” got over one million views on YouTube and was listed as one of Ghana’s top ten songs. He was featured on DJ Vyrusky’s and Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale’s single “Adwenfi.” On December 25, he performed at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Concert in Ghana, as well as the Ghana Music Honours 2017 Edition.
In 2018, Kuami Eugene released “Confusion,” a continuation of the storyline from the song “Angela.” He also released the tune “Wish Me Well” in June 2018 in response to negative feedback he received on social media. Some Ghanaians allege he stole lyrics from a song by Ghanaian singer Ice Prince.
