Davido Fulfills Promise As He Donate N250 Million To 292 Orphans In Nigeria

Popular Nigeria artiste Davido has donated N250 million to 292 orphanages across the country. Davido raised monies from friends and colleagues on his birthday last year to clear his new Rolls-Royce from the port. He was able to gather N200 million in less than two days.

Surprisingly, Davido donated all of the money he earned from his friends and colleagues, as well as his own N50 million, to orphanages across Nigeria, making the total N250 million. He also formed a six-member committee to oversee the money’s distribution.

The money has been successfully disbursed to 292 orphanages around the country, according to a statement released by the artist’s camp yesterday.

“As a follow-up to the press statement I issued on November 19, 2021, in which I announced my intention to donate the total sum of N200 million received from friends and family, combined with my personal donation of N50 million, to orphanages across Nigeria, I bring you an update,” the statement reads.

A five-person distribution committee was formed, as promised. The members of this committee have been working extensively since its inception to gather the names and information of documented and verified orphanages.

“I am happy to report that the disbursement has been completed. A total of N250,000,000 has been distributed to 292 orphanages thus far. I have listed/attached the names and amounts disbursed to the various orphanages, as stated in my first statement. For the sake of truth, I thought it would be appropriate to provide an update to my loyal supporters, admirers, friends, and family” he added.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, especially the committee of high-calibre and principled individuals who volunteered their time to guarantee this assignment was completed as quickly as possible, as well as great family of Davido, friends, and good wishes.
